If you have a problem inside or outside with ants. Use 1 part borax, dampened and 4 parts sugar. Stir well and place in area where you have seen ants. They will disappear in a day or two. You can buy Borax/boric acid and place in small containers in cabinets etc. You can buy about a quart of boric acid power at Walmart for a few dollars. That is enough to last a long time.
My solution to mud daubers on my porch ceiling: Paint the ceilings sky blue and the mud daubers avoid building on it. We have several hundred feet of wrap around porches at our house. This time of year the mud daubers will build on the porch brick columns, but not on the ceiling. I think they think that the blue ceiling is the sky.
Gnats are attracted to moisture. Gnats especially go for your eyes, nose and mouth. If you wish to eliminate gnats take 1/2 cup cider vinegar add a few drops of dish detergent and place in bathrooms, kitchen and other areas. Within a few minutes you will see dead gnats floating in the solution. They are attracted to the vinegar and the soap on the wings keeps them from flying so they drown. I remember as a child parents working in the fields would leave little children in a nearby shade. The gnats were everywhere and often they would get in the faces of the children especially the eyes, nose and mouth. Many of the children would get "pink eye".
