Almost fifty-five years ago when I was in the transportation business I built a large ozone generator to treat the effluents from a processing plant. We successfully treated the discharged water before it went into the public sewer system. We decided to do things differently we would dry the air taking the moisture out of the air and collecting it in a moisture trap. The moisture had to be drained. When a toilet gets full the valve opens. In the moisture trap the valve closes. The successful treatment of the waste water at the poultry plant saved about 400 jobs and kept Painters Poultry from shutting down.
Below is an old photo of the machine I installed at the poultry plant. It was designed to treat large volumes of water. Small machines can also treat bacteria and viruses in the air.
We loaned a small machine to a student at the University of Florida where he successfully treated raw sewage water killing both bacteria and viruses earning him a scholarship to Duke University. One of my friends from Painter Poultry, Richard Painter, went back to the University of Florida and changed his major to Biomedical Research, then wrote a white paper on this.
This happened in the mid-sixties. An ozone generator can today be purchased from many vendors who advertise on line. Even Amazon sells ozone generators. There are many machines available for only a few hundred dollars.
